Who We Are

Supporting Those Who Serve

​The Purpose of the San Mateo County Critical Incident Stress Management team is to provide a peer driven, clinician guided, organized mutual aid resource and intervention assistance to first responders. We deliver trained, responders experienced in the public safety disciplines we serve including individual peer support and group debriefings.

San Mateo County CISM is dedicated to serving first responders across our communities. Our support extends to 18 fire agencies, 22 law enforcement agencies, multiple dispatch centers, five hospital emergency rooms, the Coroner’s Office, and American Medical Response. Together, these partnerships ensure that critical care and peer support are available wherever it’s needed most.
